The Rayshard Brooks incident in Atlanta
The June 13, 2020 incident in which a black man, Rayshard Brooks, failed a DUI (driving under the influence) test, and then resisted arrest, and attacking police officers, grabbing the taser of one and attempting to shoot him with it as he was fleeing, is a perfect example of a black man's petty crime, which, when he then resisted arrest, and attacked police offers, resulted in his legal killing by the officers. No-one can doubt that if you steal a police officers' weapon, and then attempt to use it on the officer, you will be shot. Also, driving under the influence is perhaps not a petty crime at all, since it can often result in the death or injury of innocent others. Let us hope that these officers do not lose their jobs, and that the relatives of the criminal Brooks don't get any payout from the police department or from the government. Taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for a man's crime. Stealing a police offers' weapon while resisting arrest can never be tolerated.
Then the horrible criminal arson and destruction caused by animals (yes, we call people who set fire to a restaurant animals - because they do not think, and are blinded by their anger and emotion - like raging animals that need to be shot down) because they are a danger to all and a public menace) upset over another black man's disobedience which led to his death. All of those arsonists MUST receive at least 5 years in prison. We, the people, demand it. Arson is a horrible and serious crime - as is destruction of property.
Of course, it is a very sad thing to have a 27 year old man killed, and all because he made a very bad judgement call and got violent with the police as he was being arrested. His first bad judgement call was to drive while intoxicated. Let's remember that. Then he made a very bad decision to resist arrest. Then he made a fatal decision to attack the arresting officer and steal his weapon. What could the police have done better in this situation? Does anyone have an idea? We'd like to hear it in your comments, below. We think that the police having a tranquilizer pistol is the only thing that could have saved Mr Brooks' life in a situation like this.
